J'ai lu pas mal de posts ici et on se croirait dans le 19ème siècle. Tout le monde répète que "la key is to do 2 tasks per day to stay active" ou "check once every 2 hours".
Honestly, who the f*** is going to sit around their PC like a paranoid stalker just to catch a 0.50€ survey? That's literally 10 cents an hour of your life if you're lucky.
I'm not looking for a second salary, but I want something that pays for my coffee without requiring me to live on the internet. Is Prolific actually paying out for casual workers who just check once or twice a day, or have you all collectively agreed to treat it like a part-time job you're unpaid for?
Because at that point, I might as well just do the stupid 0.01€ clickbait surveys on the other sites.

D'accord, je vois où tu veux to go, mais you're missing the point. Prolific isn't Amazon Mechanical Turk, it's not "grab a task and go". You need a solid sample to get the quality.
But I agree with you on the "stalker" part. I don't think you need to check every 2 hours. I've got a few accounts on different panels and a decent sample size. I check once or twice a day, usually during my lunch break or in the evening. I don't make a living off it, but I definitely make more than "10 cents an hour". I've had weeks where I've made around 50-100 euros on a single account, just doing 2-3 tasks a day.
The "key" is that you have to be a good match for the studies. If you're not a good match, you won't get tasks, no matter how often you check. It's not about the frequency, it's about the quality of your sample.
So, to answer your question: Yes, it's still viable for casual workers. You just need to be patient and let the algorithm work for you. Once you have a good sample, you'll get tasks even if you only check once a day.
